About us

The Wouter Nolet Foundation (WNF) is controlled by a board that guides the fulfilling of her mission.

Mission

The Wouter Nolet Foundation (WNF) is controlled by a Board that guides the fulfilling of her mission: to strengthen the health care system in Sierra Leone.

Vision

Our vision is that we can do this by sponsoring qualified students who wish to follow some medical advanced trainings and become Clinical Officers. By doing this we make a task sharing possible between doctors and assistants.

We will contribute to this vision by:

  • Granting awards to students following medical advanced trainings
  • Supporting outreach projects in which work experience can be gained
  • Substantiating our funding by evidence based research

Under the Board’s guidance, this vision has been translated into goals setting: what do we want to achieve? Details about this can be found in our Policy Statement.
